LONG SUMMER (8/9/11) Apologies for a abandoning this page, the months have whizzed by and of course we’ve had the school holidays for the past couple of months. Anyway, neglect over, we’ve got some lovely new designs winging there way to the site any day now so watch this space. We’re really revving up to Autumn and can’t wait to get back right into the thick of things (now he kids are back at school, finally!!) ACCESSORIES GALORE (23/5/11) We can’t wait to show off our new products, available soon on the website. Girls hand embroidered baskets, made by the Berbers of Morocco. We’ve finished them off with our own lining to compliment the gorgeously bright and beautiful colours. We also have lovely soft leather Babouches for perfect lounging round the house slippers and a selection of vintage silk scarf tops each depicting a place – we’re really excited about them all! MARRAKECH MAGIC (20/5/11) A recent combined holiday and buying trip to Morocco with the family was a big hit all round. Snake charmers and camel rides up in the mountains, not to mention Aladdin’s Cave and magic carpets were the stuff that only little boys and girls dream of. WINNERS OF DELUNA/ALL ABROAD BABY PROMOTION Congratulations to Athanasia Sula Hatzipavlidis and Kara Leigh Dockery who both won a limited edition Mermaid dress each in our Facebook cross-promotion. It was obviously written in the stars as Kara’s daughter will be wearing her dress at the forthcoming Mermaid Parade on Coney Island in June. How cool is that? We can’t wait to see the photos! POP-UP AT KIDSEN (16/3/11) Cool Scandinavian store Kidsen have got our Trunk in their window and selling all our new season stock. (1/3/11) We got 12.500 hits after our review on GOOP (Gwyneth Paltrow’s website) which went live on 17/2. We were inundated with orders from around the world, especially the US. The Kimono Dress is now available in the new ‘Folk’ print only and the Butterfly print for the Hola! shorts is discontinued. We’re please to say that we will be making more Bondi Beachsuits in the nautical print, these will be back in stock towards the end of May. So please order so we can put you on the list. The Salinas Sundress is available in a new season print but we’re out of the Ebb/Flow print apart from the small size (S – 12-18mths), Le Petit Chien is available. TRUNK PARTY (26/2/11) We have a trunk sale confirmed for the 25th March which we’ll be doing at Vogue House. Other sales to be confirmed are at Net-A-Porter and EMI. POP-UP @ BOBO KIDS (1/2/11) Successfully launched our ‘Nomad Trunk’ project at Bobo Kids on Elystan St, Chelsea, where we’ll be for 3 weeks. Managed to get a rush of interest and sales during the first 20 minutes whilst still setting up in the window, thanks to the Chelsea set! BUBBLE (31/1/11) Successful intsallation at Bubble with lots of great feedback and editorial interest.. Photos coming soon GOOP (26/1/11) News just in from Gwyneth Paltrow’s office. She wants to review some Deluna products on her popular blogging site GOOP. We’ll keep you updated… IRIS (21/1/11) We have another lovely shop on board. Iris sell gorgeous designer women’s wear (Isabelle Murant – swoon) and a select range of children’s clothes. They’ll be stocking our Spring/Summer collection in their Queens Park, Chiswick and Battersea stores from the end of April. BOBO KIDS (13/1/11) We can confirm that chic children’s lifestyle boutique Bobo Kids in Chelsea will be the first shop to ‘Pop-Up’ our trunks as part of our “Nomad Trunk Party” project, arriving 1st February, departing Friday 11th. Worth a trip if you’re in the area. TATLER (8/1/11) We’ve got a nice piece in Tatler this month, featuring Luna in the Poncho and Lily in the Cape. We’re going to take our trunks and hopefully make a lovely display for them in the “Trend” area. VOGUE (11/12/10) We are in VOGUE which is on the shelves now featuring our Pompom Poncho! KIDSEN (10/12/10) We are proud to announce that we have a new stockist on board as of Friday 10th. Kidsen on Chamberlayne Road, Queens Park is a gorgeous shop that stocks mostly Scandinavian designs for children. You will find our winter collection there including our ponchos, capes and Kimono Dresses. We’ll also be stocking our summer collection there in the Spring. SALE AT THE JORDANS (10/12/10) Thanks to everyone who came to see us at our sale at Cosmo’s nursery on Friday. Mince pies and mulled wine enjoyed by all and ponchos flying off the shelves. PORTOBELLO 27th November We braved the sub-zero conditions on Saturday at Portobello Market and only just got the feeling back into our fingers and toes! Thanks to my new seamstress/assistant Eugenie Calimez who managed to be ever enthusiastic and dedicated to the cause and to everyone who came to see us. NOMAD TRUNK PARTY We’re always trying to find inventive and creative ways of getting ourselves noticed and we’re excited to announce a new project, a POP UP installation in exclusive stores specifically chosen to showcase our collections in our custom made trunks. The ITINERARY will take the Deluna display on a whistle stop tour around some of London’s finest interiors, fashion and design stores, for two weeks and then move on to the next. We’ve got the full support of MILK magazine’s Florence Rolando who will be reporting on the journey. TOY TRUNK Travel’s our thing and there’s nothing smarter than having the right luggage to show you’re in the business of notching up those air miles. Our trunk always get’s attention, so we thought why not make some mini versions? They’re covered in lovely vintage maps and collages of old New York, Africa, Paris and a limited edition exclusive range by French designer Jean Charles de Castellbajac, hand drawn illustrations of palm trees, Eiffel Tower, zebras and elephants, in fresh sky blue against white. SUMMER SALES We’ve only been going since June but we’ve managed to pack an awful lot in. We started off with an initial sale at The Jordan’s Nursery, getting an amazing reaction and orders. We had a stall at the Kew Midsummer Fete and got blown to pieces. We were at Portobello Market most Fridays throughout July and August (a great research and PR exercise) and managed to get picked up by tres chic French children’s mag, MILK. We were at Ravenscourt Family Fun Day, and finally ended the summer fun at the first ever Vintage at Goodwood Festival where we donned HMS Deluna stewardess uniforms, boosting our sales no end (or so we’d like to think!) |
