Deluna Kids

Deluna hit the runway in Summer 2010. We take our inspiration from around the globe, collecting together our favorites from fashion giving them the Deluna twist. The result is a fun and stylish collection for little girls and boys, where a fleet of design classics are given a modern make-over. Bright colorful fabrics are carefully sourced to give a vintage feel and limited runs mean our clothes are not mass produced but individual and unique to each child. Our collections have a story to tell, and each piece it’s own identity. Home-made and hand finished, our clothes are designed to be lovingly worn and kept forever. If it’s a special one off piece for a holiday or trip abroad, Deluna will take you all the way!

WHAT IS DELUNA?

We’d like to hear if you know of any other brands out there doing what we do, we hope not! We truly believe we offer something a bit different to our customers., clothes that are fun but at the same time stylish, chic and unique but at really affordable prices.  We like to look at the bigger picture of Deluna, and see the potential of the brand opening up a wider world of globe-trotting products (luggage – we’ve just launched a range of trunks, swimwear, stationery…)   Deluna is a lifestyle…an airline…an adventure waiting to be discovered…it’s anything you want it to be, but most importantly we  aim to feed the imagination.

WHO IS DELUNA?

A trip to Australia in Jan’10 was the fuel that fired up the world of  Deluna Kids. The concept behind the brand and all the designs have been created by me, Luca. With Spanish and Dutch origins on my father’s side (my mum’s English), and having traveled extensively with work and holidays, I’ve always been inspired by the romanticism of travel. The name Deluna, (“of the moon” in Spanish) is my Spanish family name. My dad was the most well traveled person I know and when I was young he would return from exotic trips with strange and wonderful things to wear – a Peruvian poncho, an Icelandic sweater or beads that looked good enough to eat, all of which I still have and cherish.  My love of travel and enthusiasm come from him and the magpie urge to rummage and snaffle up a little gem at a local market is the ultimate achievement!

A career in television and film BB (before babies) is an important part of my background and a major factor in my need to tell a story, which I hope translates through the brand and collections.

THE CLOTHES

We are proud to say our clothes are made in the UK and all finished carefully by hand.

Sizes start at 12mths and go up to 6yrs and are for girls,and now boys!  We are just introducing some boys shirts, due to various nagging mum’s!

All our fabrics are carefully sourced and not bought in bulk as you get when manufacturing abroad, so your little one will always stand out and look immaculately dressed.  Our clothes are easy to wear and easy to wash. They are clothes for keeps that will be lovingly worn out rather than outgrown.

Our collections are exclusive and we mostly make to order, so if there’s a fabric you like but in a different design, we’ll  happily make it for you.  Anything is possible, we will translate your ideas into a tailor-made reality.
